Well, I certainly must say it’s been a long time coming, but as you can see from the sidebar, book 6 of Bulletproof Witch has finally gotten some progress. Not a lot, I’m not even done with chapter one yet, but its something. Already I’m feeling good about the story. The writing feels… easy. Familiar, like an old friend I haven’t seen in a while.
While I had hoped to get started on Temperance’s story right after the start of the new year, life just hasn’t allowed that to happen. Honestly, between trying to read through the old books to refresh my memory, trying to keep up with posting on my RR story, and also the fact that January is a very busy month for us accountants, I’m amazed anything got done at all.
Now Stone-Cold God is feeling a bit more stable (and actually seems to be somewhat popular!), and work-work is dying down a bit, so I’m feeling like maybe progress on The Forgotten City won’t be too slow. Nice thing about Temperance, she doesn’t do anything by half measures, which makes her a fairly engaging character to write. Honestly, why have I been putting off writing this book for so long?
I still haven’t decided if I’ll jump straight into book 7 after this one or switch back to the Fatedancer series. Guess I’ll see what I’m feeling when I get there, but if any readers have opinions on the subject, I’d love to hear them.
On a final note, all of my books will be free next weekend to celebrate my birthday, so if you’ve been holding off adding any to your collection, then would be the time ^_^
